Occupancy Verification in Metro Detroit

If you are a property owner with vacant, foreclosed, repossessed, or abandoned homes, you need to protect your assets from vandals and trespassers. If you do not have the resources or are overwhelmed with many properties, we can help you.

At Property Sentinels, our experienced field agents will verify whether your properties are vacant or occupied, check all conditions of the property and we will notify the owner as to all conditions that are found.

During an occupancy verification visit we will perform the following:

  • Date of inspection
  • Visit the property to determine if house is vacant or occupied
  • Check if doors and windows are secured
  • Determine identity of occupant if it appears to be occupied
  • Determine if utilities are turned on
  • Check for broken/missing or boarded windows and doors
  • Look for any exterior damage
  • Check if grass is mowed and shrubs trimmed
  • Look for any personal property or debris on premises
  • Complete a status report of conditions at site and make available to owner
  • Take digital photos of house and property and make available to owner

Fees for our Occupancy Verification are $20.00 per visit with a $15.00 trip fee added to the cost.

There are no fees for any digital photographs taken during the occupancy verification.
